Jim McLean Brings Nation's Premier Golf School to The Wigwam

Acclaimed golf instructor Jim McLean brings his signature 8-Step Swing teaching system and his top rated school to The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa. Opened in January 2007, The Jim McLean Golf School is integrated into The Wigwam's new, state-of-the-art practice facilities, and offers McLean's renowned golf training in both private lessons and group clinics. Few instructors in the game today are as acclaimed as Jim McLean, who has a regular instruction program on The Golf Channel and contributes to many of the top golf publications, is regarded one of the PGA's Top 3 National Teachers.

McLean is scheduled to personally teach at least four clinics throughout the year, and has personally trained each member of his year-round teaching staff.

Overseeing instruction at The Wigwam location is Jason Carbone, who began working with Jim McLean in 1998, and has since worked his way to becoming one of the top instructors in the country. He was recently named as one of the Top 100 Teachers in America by GOLF Magazine, one of the Top 20 under 40 by Golf Digest, and was named the #1 instructor in Ohio by Golf Digest from 2003 to 2006.

In 2005, The Wigwam completed renovations to two 18-hole flagship courses, The Gold and The Blue, and added a brand new practice center.

The exclusive facility is among the largest in Arizona and includes a 350-foot wide, dual-ended driving range; target greens; and three separate greens for putting, chipping and pitching.

The Jim McLean Golf School has made its home in a 2,000 square foot stand-alone building, complete with 64" flat screen monitors, JC Video swing analysis computer software, club fitting and ball flight analysis in its Superstation instruction bays.
