(August 25, 2009) - The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa has extended its limited-time $79 Sizzlin' Summer Rate through Labor Day, Sept. 7, giving Valley residents the opportunity to celebrate the long holiday weekend with an action-packed line-up of resort activities from flag football, hayrides and fireside s'mores to the ultimate Labor Day pool party featuring live island music, swim-up blackjack and endless poolside activities for the kids.

Gearing up to celebrate its 80th anniversary this November, the Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, is getting an early start to celebrating its landmark birthday with a weekend full of Labor Day events, available to all guests with rates starting at $79 a night. And while family fun is on tap, hardcore college football fans won't miss any action as the resort will broadcast games on several big screen TVs across the resort all weekend long.

Flag football on the Front Lawn will jump start the fun the morning of Saturday, Sept. 5, followed by a full day of football game watching at the Kachina Lounge.
